Has anyone ever...

I fuckin hate Jeremy Kyle so much - I think a judge once referred to it as 'human bear baiting' and I think that describes it perfectly. He is worse than the people who go on the show, what a horrible, exploitatitive, sanctimonious asshole!

Jerry springer is worse!
I used to love him years ago, when it first started. It was the first programme that did this sort of thing so quite entertaining! It was on tv the other day, shocking... They ring a bell and the 2 women fighting over the scummy guy start fighting! Can't believe this sort of thing is allowed!

One thing that annoys me about him is when he says don't worry about those watching at home they should be at work. Hmm ok ill leave my 4 month old baby and go to work before my maternity runs out then!! Dick I hate him lol.

And if it wasnt for people at home watching him the prat would be out of a job.
He seems to forget the people hes slagging off are the ones who made him famous.

I do love the show but his little phrases get annoying, it's as if he can't think of anything new!

Maury is the worst of the lost - his programme didn't even attempt to look helpful, it was just send them out, exploit and send them back from where they came from.

One of my friends went with her husband to sit jn the audience..and my Ex was going to go on cuz they found his real mum for him..he didnt in the end tho x

Okay... 7 pages in & no one has been on. So.... thanks to the annoynimity of the internet....

I HAVE BEEN ON JK!

I hasten to add, it was with LOs sperm donor, who was taken on by his ex gf to prove DNA on his oldest son.

So I was there for support really, nothing actually to do with me.

It is horrificly embarressing & the referance to human bear baiting is quite accurate imo. But I will answer any backstage questions if you want.

Also... if you call the show they do pay you, to the best of my knowledge

Omg I LOVE Jeremy Kyle!!
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience though hun :hugs:

Yay!!! :D Get ready for questions if that's okay!

Were you with LOs sperms donor at the time so you were support for him? Does this mean you were that poor sod in the audience who jezza drags into it or were you actually on stage? Was the audience nice or quite starey? What's it like backstage? Do you get treated nicely afterwards or are you just dumped after the show has filmed? Do you think jezza wound sperm donor and his ex gf up to get big reactions? Or did they act like they normally would?

Would you recommend the experience?

Hope that's not too nosy lol! I'm excited to meet someone who's been on it!

I was with him at the time, it was in 2009 & we'd not even been together a yr. His ex text him within weeks of us getting together to say she was preg. It wasn't pleasant haha.

I was actually on stage with him, had to walk out & everything. Very very scary.

The audience were okay, pretty starey... no booing I don't think (I don't really remember, it was so frightening, very "deer in the headlights"

The dressing rooms are like just a room with some chairs & a mirror. We got to meet Jezza before hand as well...he's very short haha.

The actual backstage area you see on the show is just like sofas with a camera in your face. Nothing special.

After the show, we were taken back to the dressing room & then my ex was taken off for "aftercare" 15 mins later he was back saying they'd just sat him in a room with his ex & told them to agree to some contact. Utterly useless. Also... we were taken from yorkshire via taxi to get there & send home on the train haha. But they payed for everything & a hotel & a meal.

Jezza doesn't do any winding up, a member of "the team" sits with you before hand while your backstage & they wind up the "main people" i.e my ex & his ex something chronic! In our case, she went on first & all the time she was talking, this guy was going to my ex "see what she's saying about you, go out there & set her straight, listen to all them lies she's spouting, when you get on stage sort her out & tell your side. She's being such a bitch about you" etc etc. And when I was on my own, after my ex had gone on stage he was there going "go out there & support him, speak up & put her right. Don't let them blame you for everything" etc.

I do think they sorta spin it a certain way, by who speaks first etc. Jezza deffo puts words in peoples mouths. It was reeeeeeally odd, cos that was the first time I'd actually met his ex lol. We're quite good friends now, since we both hate my ex lmao.

I wouldn't recomend it AT ALL! It doesn't solve anything & it really does feel like they set people up to fail.

No ofc I don't mind, I'm happy to answer questions, I wondered all this before I went on lol

I have been in the audience. Very hot under all the lights and very fake. What happens on camera is not at all how it is off camera. I have no respect at all for Jeremy Kyle. Going to sit in the audience seemed to be a right of passage for Manchester students when I was at uni though :haha:

Ooh thank you for sharing that was really interesting! :D argh that sounds so scary having to sit up there in front of the audience! LOL at jezza being short! I can imagine his aggressiveness is compensating for that haha.

That "aftercare" sounds awful! They always make out that they really look after people so what a jip! Not fair :(

I am gobsmacked at that winding up stuff! That really does make the bear baiting thing accurate :( did they manage to wind you up or were you just like whaaaaat O.O

I like that you and his ex have ended up friends haha! I have the feeling if I met my ex's exes we would get on pretty well!!!

Was it stressful being on stage once everyone had been wound up? Sorry if I've missed this bit but did they do the DNA and everything? How did the ex react when she was right? Did you go on believing him that it wasn't his child? Was it weird finding out that way? If that's too personal don't answer and just tell me off lol! :haha:

They do manage to wind you up a little, cos they plant the idea that the other person is talking smack about you & it gets you really angry & ofc, they don't tell you when the other party has said to the researchers, so thats usually a bombshell. In our case no one told us she blamed me for him not seeing his son & that was like o_O dafuq is this shit!!

We do get on really well lol, obvs we both have kids to him that are raised by our partners & he has no imput in their lives etc.

It's really scary, you sorta blank out, particularly when everyone is staring at you & judging you.

They did the DNA & ofc the baby is his. My ex was pretty stunned, but seemed to accept it. I'd already accepted it, it was my ex with the doubts & tbh, he was clutching at straws. It wasn't a bad way to find out, I think there are worse DNA results on there tbh.

I don't like the way they lie & go on about the great aftercare team etc. Cos they are rubbish... they didn't help my ex one bit to see his son. I watch it now & I know all the help they are offered on the show is bull.

The funny thing is... Jezza gets sooooooo angry about stuff & you reeeeeeally wanna laugh, cos he has short man syndrome soooooooooo bad! Lmao

Yes he definitely has short man syndrome :haha: Wheb I see repeats of the early ones he doesn't seem as bad and seems more fair, but these days he's always shouting and jumping up and down!

God I can imagine you just being like whaaaaat?! when you got on the stage if she said that! Talk about being blind sided!

It sounds scary! The audience always looks a bit judgy so can't imagine what it would be like having them all going O.O at you! :/

I think that "aftercare" stuff is so unfair :( people go on there for help and just get milked for drama and dumped. The way jezza always raves on about aftercare and then there's nothing? Grrrr.

Lol! He defo does have short man syndrome! I've watched it a few times where the guest is staying really calm and sarcastic and you can just see jezza getting more and more annoyed because they aren't giving him what he wants haha!

In my experience the audience are there for the novelty and aren't judging in the slightest. The reactions of shock, boos, clapping etc are instructed by the producer and you get removed if you don't follow. I know because I laughed when I was on and got a warning, despite the fact that it's all so staged and very laughable.

^^ I did not know that. They certainly look very judge-y

But I guess thats all part of the act, since it is pretty much all staged

Wow I had no idea it was staged, I always thought people reacted how they wanted to, because sometimes when the audience boo, Jeremy starts moaning about 'the great British public' judging before they've heard the other persons side

how much do they get paid for it?
i always say i will try to get tickets but i cba.

If you have to miss work to go on then they'll pay you the money you woulda made that day. I dunno how much if you call the show
