Has anyone had a pain in their belly?

Its in the same spot and feels a bit like a stitch i guess but this pulling pain inside. Its just above the belly button to the left.

I know we get lots of pains and things later on, but i'm not sure whether this is normal so thought i'd ask you girls.

And if not i'll give my MW a call.

I've had pains in my side and below my belly, but not next to my belly button. My friend is due two weeks after me and is always complaining about pains next to her belly button and I'm sure I've read posts about it on here before.

I'm sure its nothing to worry about.

I had pains coming in waves just to the right of my belly button a few weeks back. It was concerning me though. I had a shower, tried to get comfy and forget about it, which didn't work, so I ended up calling the hospital who sent me to labour ward for checks.
They strapped on a monitor, I had to report any movements, they tested urine and had a good ol' feel around. After a while the pains started to subside a bit, I was given some painkillers. If your stomach is rock hard constantly with these pains then I think they might be more concerned. It turned out I had a large urine infection, they were checking me out for gallstones and kidney problems which can occur in pregnancy, but everything turned out ok.
If you are worried then give someone a ring, try and get into a comfy position and have a couple of paracetamol. If it is an infection then make sure to take any tablets properly and drink more liquid to help flush out any nasties. Hopefully u have just been overdoing it and just need to put ur feet up and rest it off tonight. x

Tks girls. I did the usual google search and something on there suggested it could be a torn stretched muscle from overdoing it........sounds plausible.

It feels very much like a stitch, kind of on the outside. so not deep inside.
