I was wondering about this one. It looks good.

Has anyone used a musical potty and did it make potty training easier?
Thanks x

We have a musical potty, and on day 1 yup it made the celebrations all the more joyful lol but now he isnt really interested in the music aspect and we are only 3 days in :dohh:

I bough one and then decided not to put the batteries in. I didn't want ds to sit there for ages trying to piddle when he wasn't really feeling like it just to hear the music. I also know him well enough to know that he would end up filling tubs of water and putting them in. However the one I bought is a potty seat with removable seat for the big toilet and a lid that closes to turn it into a step. He loved that and also the duck on the inside of the lid and the duck feet on the bottom, so I don't feel it was a waste.

That's the one we had. Started off great then she took an aversion to it and even the singing terrified her. :( maybe there's such thing as too much fuss!

It does convert to a toilet seat too though

I have the duck one!!!! I didnt know it was a toilet seat :dohh: I bought a separate one for the toilet, woops lol

Lol, yes, the seat section lifts off and sits on top of your toilet seat. I still love the whole thing even without the music - now that he's been nappy free for a good long time I'm tempted to put batteries in for the novelty value.

My niece had the musical one and it totally put her off. Too much of a distraction I think. I've just bought a very plain average potty and a toilet seat attachment. X

I found the musical aspect useful earlier - I was washing dishes and heard it go off - George had taken himself off to the potty and sorted himself out :cloud9:

Downside is - the stupid music goes off randomly too and when pressure is exerted on the lid, like when he steps on it (its a stepping stool thing too) or just sits on the lid to read

I may turn the music off myself - but size wise George is very keen and happy to use this potty as its bigger and sturdier than regular potties.

I just used a regular 97p potty from asda and bought the matching toilet seat for the same price

All 3 of mine went from using the potty in the living room to the toilet with seat on on a matter of days, I couldn't justify the cost of something like that for such minimal use
