Has anyone tried Hungry Baby Formula?

My LO is nearly 8 weeks old and still wakes every 2-3 hours in the night to feed and always finishes his bottle (5oz) he was only 5lb when he was born, now about 7.5lb... any advice?

Iv tried hungry baby (sma) but soon stopped as we thought it was making him constipated. I think I'd just feed him more, can you increase the size of the feed?

I would up the oz in the feeds before going to hungry baby milk.....hungry milk is just thicker it doesn't give extra calories and at that stage baba needs calories!

We put our LO on SMA hungry baby milk at 7 weeks, he was constipated for a few days but I understand this happens with any change to formula. It was the best move for him and us. He very quickly dropped both the 10pm and 2am feed and was a much happier and more satisfied baby.

He really was a hungry baby and for a time drank 6 x 7oz bottles, he has just dropped one in the last week due to weaning. Interestingly he wasn't ready for solids until nearly 7 months old despite his genuine appetite.

It's not unusual for an 8 week old to still be waking this regularly for feeds still, they only have such tiny tummies and can't hold too much. I agree try upping the oz before trying hungry milks. How often do you feed in the day? You could try topping up, getting more into your LO during the day so they need less at night (but some babies don't work like that, mine didn't, lol)

We used it - but for what it's really intended for - when she was about 4-5 months old, but not ready to wean (still had her tongue thrust reflex good and proper) but was draining full 9oz bottles and screeching for more to fill her up a bit for longer instead of just endlessly upping ounces and sending her weight gain through the roof.

my HV says hungry baby is for much older than 8 weeks.
more like 4/5 months..
