Hi everyone... been searching on the net and came across these hypnosis cd's for ivf and ttc... has anyone used these??? comments on the website sound great and very positive. Has anyone used these for ivf??

Hi
I've been using guided imagery and though I'm not pregnant yet, I feel very good about doing the imagery work. For eg. even if I'm in a bad space about not being pregnant when I spend some time doing the imagery work I feel more positive about it all and like I'm on the right path. The site I got it from is https://www.fertileheart.com/
and I also read both her books which were great, though the first one Inconceivable was a stronger one. These aren't specifically for IVF, but they're great exercises.
Hope this helps, RR

Thank you Really Ready... i will definately try it out!!! good luck to you! Wishing you all the best!

I went to a hypnotherapist to help with IVF, specifically the egg collection process. I had a couple of sessions with him and he made me a couple of CDs. One to practice with and one to use on the day.

I thought it was brilliant. I conceived twins and I feel that was in part due to his assistance.

Helen.. how did you find the hypnotherapist? I think i might try it out... ive used self hypnosis cd's for losing weight in the past and they worked for me so at least i know i do respond to hypnosis. ive seen cd's you can buy on the net as well... not sure if they the same?

He was someone recommended by a couple of friends who'd seen him over unrelated things (fear of flying).

He'd not dealt with anything like fertility issues before but he was a nurse before taking up hypnotherapy and I think that helped his understanding of what to cover.

I think you can find a list of registered/approved(?) therapists online somewhere so it might be worth ringing a couple of them and seeing who you feel comfortable with if you don't know anyone else who's used one locally to you.

As a guide, it cost me £80 for 2 sessions and the 2 CDs back in 2006.
