have a early scan at 6 weeks, slight bleed :(

Hi there i'm new to this site so thought i would say herro :O)

I'm here because i have a miscarriage at 11 weeks, after having a horride experience wiv keyhole surgey.Coz doctors at 5 weeks couldn't see the baby on scan after having low back pain and taken into hospital. So had to have bleed tests every 2 days... Well the bleed tests showed they were not rising like they should, so another scan. and on the scan it had developed a lil but not enough.. and was told i would miscarry, heart breaking news! Especially for my patner as this was his first baby.. my 2nd.
So the bleeding began, soo much pain. Was sure it was all over, after bleeding for 10 days.. was sure that was it. so 3 weeks later i did a test and found out i was still pregnant! CRUSHED!! So booked in for scan yep still there and it had grown.. but was still way behind poor lil bean..so ERPC booked.
Next period arrived just 17days later well only bleed for 2 days and very light.. and by the next period was i was pregnant again. Super scared now wiv every lil twinge, also i have had a bleeding that has come off and on over the last week.. it is very lite and only it there when i go for a toilet. Sorry for TMI lol

Has anybody else had this or am a painfully alone ???

Hi honey, there are tons of women on this forum and also the first tri forum that have experienced bleeds (some quite heavy) and are still happily pregnant.

I had brown spotting at 5 weeks and then a dark red bleed at 6 weeks that turned to brown with stringy bits and was enough to wear a pad.

Had an u/s at 6 and 7 weeks and both times little one was fine with a heartbeat. Dr said it was old blood making it's way out. On the last u/s he actually saw a small area of old blood and said I would most likely pass that as well and continue to spot.

So try not to worry too much, light spotting/bleeding can be perfectly normal in early pregnancy. Always best to get in with your dr though for a follow-up.

I have had spotting though most of my first trimester with this one and my last one and also Had a major bleeb at about 9 weeks (2 pads in 3 hours, Sorry TMI) but still the little bean hung in there and even had a growth spurt and my dates got put forward 5 days. Bleeding happens in aprox 33% of early pregnancies without the pregnancy ending. Having said that though it is terrifying every time it happens. Each time I wipe my heart stops just in case there is more blood and this time it means something. I so know where you are coming from and there is nothing I can say that will make it any better other than we are all here for you. You are definatly not alone!!

hey just popping in frm baby club I just wanted to say I had bleeding from weeks 6-9 and I have my beautiful LO. It can be perfectly normal to bleed in early preg I am no expert but this is what I was told during my bleeds but I was told 80% of women bleed in early preg. I know belive me how worrying this must be I had a mmc before my lo but try and relax and if you need to you see your doc thats that they are there for good luck xxxx

gemstone - I'm at the 6wk mark now and have been bleeding on and off. Called EPAU today and they said it may be implantation and to relax. Like you I'm aware of every twinge and there are a lot more on here experiencing the same thing (see PAL Spring thread).

Nice thing is that there is support here.

i would just pop to the epau, there noramlly really gd and will see u with in days.

They've advised that there wouldn't be anything to see so have to wait until next Thursday. Things are easing off again and the symptoms are stillr eally strong. I'm sort of in that stage where I've accepted that it may not work out but know that there still is a slight chance. It's hard to describe but it's like I'm sitting on the fence not knowing whether to be negative or positive.

how far along are u ??? i'm only 7 weeks today by my dates. on the scan i had a sac,yolk sac and a lil beating fetal pole :O) if ur over 6 weeks u should b able to see something hun.. thats y they wouldn't do mine til i was 6 weeks +

I'm 6+2 today but I'm happy enough now to wait until next week. Whatever is happening, I can't stop it so no point in worrying myself and making myself ill.

aw sorry just read ur post from b4, ur 6 weeks. so u should b able to see something babe. my epau told me that they wouldn't see anything b4 6 weeks. so i had to wait a few weeks for mine. u can ask for one now tho babe. fetal developement is quick, that in a matter of days u should see a difference. hope this helps :O)
