This is my first baby and at 21 weeks I'm feeling massive an fat, I've been showing for a few weeks now with a clear baby bump (which I am proud to show off).

I'm 5'3 an normally a uk 12/14 mostly 14 on top because pre pregnancy I always had big boobies at a size 32G.

I've put on 1 stone 8 pounds since January. Mostly my belly, little on the hips/thighs and I've gone up at least a cup size maybe more an I'm now wearing a uk 16.

Is this a lot I'm worried! I know I can lose it after baby is here because I've lost weight before an kept it off, baby is healthy etc no issues there.

I'm just starting to feel like a whale an unattractive!

Xx

I don't think it's a lot. I've gained 13 lbs at 23 weeks now. Up a cup size too. A little gain everywhere but mostly belly. I found this site https://www.baby2see.com/pregnancy_weight_calculator.html

I'm 21weeks pregnant i'm usually a UK size 8 with 32C boobs and i'm about 5ft 7 and weighed just over 7st and a half to begin with. I now weigh just under 8st, so i've roughly gained 5/6 pounds. My boobs have went upto a 32DD or a 34D (as 32DD is really hard to find here).

I'm sure your weight gain should be fine, if your really concerned bring it up to your midwife or doctor at your next appointment. I'm naturally petite in size which i think is why i haven't gained much. :flow: xx

Besides at the end of it will be so worth it when u have ur beautifull baby!! :) xx

I'm 22 weeks I have put on 10lb this time 5'3 so I'm tiny in height. My 3rd preg tho and I had bad nausea till 16 weeks. Keep watching what I'm eating n not drinking sugary drinks no full fat pop. Put loads on doing that in the past. Use the weight calculator it's good x

I know how you feel.. I just reinstated my gym membership and am going back tomorrow. :) Actually super excited for that.

I'm 22 weeks and should have gained between 10-14 lbs and I've gained a bit more...

It's not bad, but I feel chubby in my face and my thighs are starting to gain... which for me means really painful stretch marks are on their way, so I really want to start some preventative therapy. Some swimming, some aerobics. Nothing too serious. Oh, and stop eating spoonfuls of nutella in the middle of the night. I think that will help me :)

Here's the weight gain calculator I use. https://www.thebabycorner.com/tools/pregnancy/calculators/weightcalculator.php
It's always better not to gain more than you need to. Pregnancy can actually help you lose the extra pounds you want to get rid of (post-baby), if you play it right and work with your body.

Hi ladies :hi: I have been on bnb for a while now (since my mc in November) and am about 20 weeks pregnant. I just had to comment on the nutella! I have been craving that stuff but try not to buy it :haha:

I worry about weight too and am having a fit of a time deciphering how many pounds in a "stone" lol... I am 5'5" and weighed 121 (told by doc not to loose any more weight than that while ttc) at bfp...last appointment a month ago I weighed 126. I have no clue at this point (I will find out tomorrow during our gender scan/appointment) but gotta say my thighs are growing! This is my 3rd baby and I have learned it is very natural and pretty much unavoidable to gain some weight--our bodies will store some fat no matter what we do  I get sad and depressed sometimes when my thighs start to rub together :haha: but tru to think past it--in fact, my second pegnancy I lost the weight sooOOoo fast! It sheds almost on it's own in the first few weeks after labor! So don't anybody feel sad, K? You all have gorgeous little bundles soon to arrive! Thanks for letting me post :)

Ive gained 10lb since i got pregnant, and I am already overweight so a little worried but midwife say its normal and 20lb is the most i should put on.

I started off eating really well and ahve started to slip since 20 weeks, back on a healthy diet again now with plenty of fruit/veg so hopefully i wont put too much more on.

Ive measured myself every week since 5 weeks and only put a inch on my boobies and 2 on my tummy but you can clearly see the baby bump and the fat I had before has gone lol....love having a bump xxxx

I am almost 16 weeks and have put on 10lb already! Mind you 8 of those was in the first 8 weeks! I have looked at the calculator thing and it says I have put on too much! I wouldnt say I overeat most days but I do like my treats occasionally, and with this warmer weather I have got so lazy!
Part of me is really worried about it, but part of me isnt- i put on 2 and a half stone with my daughter and lost the first 2 stone in a week, the remaining half a stone after 2 weeks, then another stone lost on top of that over the course of 6 months (without trying), hopefully i'll be the same this time!

I don't think you have put on loads!
by the end of pregnacey I had put on 4 stone with Sophie!! I did take on the eating for 2 thing :) but I quickly lost 3 stone with B/f and running round after a new born,
I always find when I get down about my changing body I look forward to what your going to do after baby here,
This time I'm saving £50 a month so once I'm back to a weight I'm happy with I can go out and buy a new wardrobe, I'm hoping to be where I want to be by Christmas so I can shop in the January sales :)
Xxx

I am 24 weeks, and I've gained around 23lbs. I feel massive! But I am still in size 10 maternity so I'm not sure what is going on! I know my boobs are much bigger and my bump is getting bigger every day, I wish I could just slow it down a bit! I know I'm eating the wrong things though so I only have myself to blame.

I dont think anyone can tell u how much u should or shouldn't gain. So long as ur healthy and not stuffing ur face all day then ur baby will make u gain what u need to gain. U can lose it afterwards. I only gained 1st 9lb with my first and I ate quite a lot lol, baby was gaining and I was generally healthy. If I put on 3 stone this time then so be it, so long as we have healthy babies nothing else matters :)

I am 23 weeks and 5 days preganant. I have put on 8 pounds. in the first trimester I was being sick alot, so lost 8 pounds but I weighed myself this morning and I have put that weight back on. I feel i have put this weight on more rapidly within this last month. Hope I don't put too much on.

Awesome comment! about the "I dont think anyone can tell u how much u should or shouldn't gain. So long as ur healthy " as that is the key. When prego (as my doc explains it) each womans body naturally responds to hormones differently. He said he had a lady who had a low body fat index was a pro marathon runner, etc, and she kept excersizing and eating healthy into her pregnancy and just got like a baloon :haha: No matter what she did- hips, thighs, butt- it all crashed, lol. But he stated as soon as she had baby the weight started to almsot melt away on it's own. Withina few months she was back to normal. So it has very little to do with what we are doing - unless that's sitting on the couch eating nothing but McD's of course!. We are all bound to gain weight where we don't want it but you are not supposed to be super model prego...btw, remember you all look beautiful as pregnant ladies!

Anybody want to post bump pics? :happydance:

I have no idea what I weigh now and have no intention of finding out any time soon! I haven't been weighed since my 12 week scan, and then I was a few pounds less than I had guessed.
I couldn't even guess what I weigh now- I know I've put on around my hips/thighs but that's no surprise (doctor tells me this is where the body stores fat ready for breast feeding). Mhy boobs haven't even quite gone up a cup size, although I am wearing a bigger back size in my bras as they were getting tight due to expanding bumpage!
If the medical bods aren't bothered about my weight gain then personally, it's not that important. I don't own a set of scales and have jacked in the gym, so won't know unless someone else insists on weighing me... and it's getting a bit late to do anything about it!
