Have You Used Gonal-F Pen?

If so, how many cycles did it take you to get a BFP? I just started my first shot today and the pens were so expensive. Just curious as to see how long I may have to wait and how much money I might spend. Any other info would be helpful, too. Thanks!

Hi,

I used gonal-f 150 doses for first cycle. It didn't work for me sadly drugs are expensive no matter which you use! I'm going to be on menopur this time I think...
I used 2 gonal-f pens (some left over) for one cycle. Hope that helps!

I was on 450 gonal f and it was nhs funded thank god as one pen only lasted 2 days. I had 2 ivf, 1st was on the other one, cant remember it and the 2nd was gonal f. Which today im 26 weeks pregnant

Are you using Gonal-F for IVF/IUI or with timed intercourse(TSI)??

I was doing a TSI cycle with GF 75iu and HCG trigger. I got a BFP first cycle. Sadly I lost the baby and will be starting my next cycle in a few weeks time. Wishing you lots of luck and babydust!

Best of luck to you on the Menopur! I just finished my one pen. It took me 3 days. Today I go for an ultrasound and bloodwork to see if it's working so far and about adjusting the meds, etc.

Hi fitzy. I am using Gonal-F intercourse AND IUI. DH & I are actually doing the Sperm Meets Egg plan and then if the Gonal works for me, I'll be set up for an IUI from my fertility dr as well.

I am so sorry about your MC. That is amazing that it worked on the first cycle, though! Lots of babydust to you for a sticky, sticky bean in the very near future!

I used Gonal F, low dose for ICSI. Went through Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 under Doctor X. Changed doctor for 3rd cycle, he was prescribing me very controlled dossages of Gonal F and I got my BFP.

I used the gonal-f pen...3 cycles with IUI and 1 cycle IVF. I got pregnant on my IVF cycle. I was lucky that my insurance covered most and I only had a co-pay...not sure for PA..but in MA I used village pharmacy online..if you can check and see..sometimes they have a better deal than through a regular pharmacy.
