It's been at least two days since I've felt anything. =( I've had lots of pains, but I'm reasonably sure that's not movement. I tried sugar, a cup of coffee, cold juice, everything but no movement..

Is this normal at this time? I've been feeling daily movement since around 16 weeks (barely flutters) that progressed to very noticeable kicks and rolls in the past few weeks.

I'm mainly worried because I've been having migraines and nosebleeds and sinus congestion (probably an infection, I'm prone to them) and I don't know how that effects my LO. My doctor said there is nothing to do about them though.

Is it normal to go days with no movements at almost 22 weeks?

This has happened to me a couple times. At 21/22 weeks the baby is still fairly small. It's possible for them to move into a position where you can't feel them move. It's always better to be safe than sorry though, so if you're worried about it you can go see your midwife and get a quick check just to make sure everything is ok. I know I always feel silly when I worry because I convince myself I'm worrying over nothing (which has been the case so far), but I'd rather get it checked and have them tell me it's nothing than not have it checked and find out there is a problem.

I had it happen the same time ...but next day movement started and hasn't quit :) if ur worried ask Dr for a hb check

i started feeling bubs almost everyday right from 18 weeks, but it seemed she would take the weekends off because come friday night till mon morning i wouldnt feel anythingggg. i got so worried!

my doctor told me that I shouldnt even worry about it until the third trimester, when they have you start "counting" kicks. which is really just about frequency and not number.

also if your routine has changed (your moving around alot more, or moving around alot less) the change in movement can make them less active.

i didnt start feeling all day everyday movement until 23 weeks, i wouldnt worry!

and like the PP said, they are still small enough to wiggle into a spot that you just arent feeling.

I'd call your Dr & they will maybe do an ultrasound or non-stress test. I am 22wks today and I know for atleast the past 3wks I can't even lay down flat without getting almost constantly kicked. Some babies are more active than others but I think you'd feel better if you had some reassurance that everything is ok.

I can remember between 22-24 weeks baby was very quiet, apparently this is normal..... I read somewhere about it but if you're worried always check with your MW xxxx

Mine has days where she doesn't move a lot, I get the odd kick but if I wasn't watching for it I wouldn't have noticed,
Then I have days where she doesn't stop, those days are usually when her daddy is home and she can hear his voice, daddy's girl already :)

I went to hospital at 22 weeks with bleeding and no movement. They told me movement isn't monitored until 24 weeks as its unreliable til then, so I wouldn't worry..

Give your midwife a ring hun! If you are worried about reduced movement at any time after you'v been feeling regular strong movements you should always get it checked out. xx

When I was pregnant with my daughter she used to do exactly the same. Take the weekend off, when there's no one to call for reassurance

I'm 18 weeks now and although I started feeling movement at just over 14 weeks I'm not feeling it daily. I tend to have a day of almost constant movement and then feel nothing at all for the next 2 or 3.

I mentioned it to the MW today and she confirmed not to worry until 28 weeks. I knew this but still needed that bit of reassurance x

Yep that has happened to me too - I was worried and went to the midwife for a quick heartbeat check for reassurance and all was fine. They put it down to anterior placenta and a bit of stress.

:flower:

Do you own a doppler or have someone you can borrow from? I would also call your dr or midwive and see what they say - just to ease your mind. As others have said, baby is probably in a different position where you can't feel movement. I am sure everythings fine.

Thanks all. =) I don't have a midwife because I'm in Canada. I have to wait til next month to see my doctor again, she doesn't really deal with pregnancy issues much as she knows nothing about them. I know, crazy, don't even get me started on our medical system here LOL. I think I get my OB after 28 weeks though.

I'm just going to hope for the best I guess.. Nothing else to do!

Firstly, if you're worried, then I would call your OB/midwife for reassurance and peace of mind.

Secondly, I would try the following:
--drink something cold
--lay on your left side in bed
--hand on belly
--wait for kicks

Thirdly, with my son, I went through the same thing. He had quiet days, and I'm sure that it's normal, but it's always better to let your doctor know if you're concerned. xx
