HCG Beta Count?

Just a general question to see if anyone knows. When miscarrying, do your HCG levels start to drop before or after the bleeding?

For e.g. I miscarried before at 6+4. When at the hospital they did a blood test and my HCG count was 1598, then I bled later on that evening. So, was 1598 the highest it got to or would it have dropped in the days leading up to this?

The only thing i know for sure is that your count start to drop the second your placenta or pg sack (in early mc) pulls away from the side of your womb. Unfortunately, short of having a scan, most likely and internal one, there is no way for anyone to really know when that happens.. its not the best answer but its the only one ive got!

Yes. Your levels should drop immediately after your m/c. Hopefully your doctor will check the levels again in a week to see where it is. Mine went from 8,000 to 214 in 7 days.
