I am pal after a loss in sept. on Saturday I had some light spotting. Went to the ER because I am so worried. The bleeding was super light lasted a couple of hours and hasn't been back. I was told to get another hcg quant today but my drs office is closed. So I had the midwife paged and told her what was going on. I am only 3 wks pregnant. She said no worries that some bleeding is normal yada yada. Then I said my numbers were 114. Which I thought was good for 3 wks. She freaked out now I am going in tomorrow for more blood work because my numbers are low. She says they should be higher. I have looked at 100 guant charts and all say 5-50 at 3 weeks. Anybody know why she would say they are low?

I have no idea why she would say that. I think 114 sounds high for only 3 weeks pregnant. Do you ovulate late and she was going by a LMP? I was only at 25 at 3wks4days and everything is going fine now post 9 weeks. Try to relax (I know it's hard, I still can't!) but bleeding is very common that early in pregnancy. Keep us updated :)

I ovulated on day 12 and my hcg was taken 12 dpo. So 24 days since my lmp.

That sounds completely fine, I think the nurse just didn't think before speaking. I was 11DPO with the 25 hcg - so far so good for you!

growl -- I think the mw was absolutely wrong to worry you so much!

It sounds like they are increasing and that is the most important thing - obviously, take it easy and have another blood test on friday to confirm it is continuing to increase....

best wishes

Wow those are amazing #'s!!! I had my first hgc done at 13dpo & I was 46 got my next bw done 7 days later & came in at 917 & my Dr is very happy with that! Even told me I could skip a week & just be happy all looks good! Best of luck, I know its incredibly hard not to worry! :hugs:

It's impossible not to worry. Thanks. I am now worried they may be too high. Have heard sometimes that means twins. Refuse to google though just in case there are worse things to worry about. Lol for now content that things are going as they should. They aren't doing anymore bloodwork for me. I have my first apt next week.
