I am so confused, I just wanted to run this past my online experts, all of you, and see if you had any insight. I've tried two stimulated cycles both unsuccessful, although my follicles respond beautifully and I ovulate and use IUI. Being I'm only 29, I thought with all of this intervention, it was a sure bet. Yet here I am again, devastated with the doctor's news that I again am not pregnant.

My question is, am I not conceiving, or am I just not sustaining? Both cycles on 12dpo I came back with HCG levels around 3. A week after IUI my progesterone was great. By 12DPO it was 1.something. Today they called me and said my HCG was a 3.4, Progesterone 1.something, and I'd be getting a period. She said it could be residual trigger (15 days post trigger, very unlikely). She implied it could be an unsuccessful pregnancy.

Last cycle, at 7 days post trigger we tested for HCG and got "Less than 1". Seven days later it was 3.0, and they said "Maybe its residual trigger". How do I go from less than 1 to 3? The trigger doesnt disappear and then reappear.

I have PCOS. I thought fertilization was my problem because I dont ovulate. Does it sound like I have implantation/sustaining problems now?? Am I "getting pregnant" and before I can help otherwise, losing the pregnancy? Is that why I'm getting these 3.something HCG levels??

Sigh. Thank you for letting me vent. On to In Vitro

Hun I don't know that I can help much but have always been told by Dr.'s that 5 or under is not pregnant.. something about our bodies produce a little HCG so anything over 5 is considered pregnant

Beta HCG under 5 is non pregnant. A lot of clinics dont even count HCG under 5 and give the value as 0. What is ur progesterone. Is it 1 point something? A healthy progesterone level has to be above 15. I went through 4 IUIs all picture perfect. All but 1 was a BFN. In my 3rd I had a beta of 24 which rose slowly but it started so low that the doc was almost sure that it was an "unsustainable pregnancy".

DO not lose hope so fast. I know exactly how it feels. So many questions come to mind. I would think that u can try maybe 1 more attempt at IUI. It does take IUI a few tries to work. I always though IVF would be a quick fix to my problems. Apparently not

Take Care:hugs:

During these cycles were you taking progesterone?

Best wishes.
