HCG Levels?

I am wondering about HCG levels....in pre-op blood work I had an HCG of 2.6. It was technically a positive test because the cut off was 2.0. On follow up tests it was determined that I was not pregnant and went through with the surgery.

The cycle of the blood test we had tried IUI. I was also just diagnosed, again, with endometritis after the surgery.

Here is my question - in your opinion could this have been a chemical pregnancy or do some people just have HCG in their blood?

0-5 is not pregnant.

I understand that. I am asking if it is likely from a chemical, or if there is hcg in blood naturally.

There'll always be a small amount of hcg in a woman's blood whilst not pregnant yes.
