My sons head is measuring small. Not on the curve. He will be 5 months old in 2 days. His head is measuring 15.25 inches. He was born 6 weeks early . Although he is also under for the measurements for his adjusted age.

Anyone else have experienced this? Should I be nervous ?

Hi, my bubs was born ay 39+3, and had a small head for his age and weight, he weighed 3930g, 48.5 cm long and his head was 32.5cm, before I left the hospital they did some blood tests to look for TORCH infection and a urine sample, and also booked an appointment for a cranial ultrasound. All the results came back clear, and they had no explanation for his head being on the small side ive had regular checkups to make sure baby heads growing, I was told not to worry about his head being small some babies are born with smaller heads as long their head keeps growing then all is ok..my bubs is now 3 n half months n his head is 38.5 cm.. if your concerned though I would get a second opinion on the growth of ur bubs head.

Is his head in proportion with his body - like are his weight and length in the low centiles? Maybe he's just dinky? If he meets age-appropriate milestones then I wouldn't worry.
