What is normal neck strength or head control like for a 6 week old? My first had very good head control from birth, but he's always been way ahead with physical milestones.

My second little boy is still really floppy with his head. He can definitely lift it in the tummy position, turn it side to side, pulls it back from our chest, etc... But just comparatively to my first, he's still so loosey goosey in the neck.

Just wondering what the range of normal is or when head control is normally achieved. Thanks!

Here's a chart that breaks milestones down into what "most babies can do," "about half of babies can do," and "a few babies can do."

In terms of head control, it says that at 2 months, about half of babies can hold their head at a 45 degree angle and by three months, most babies hold their heads steady.
