I've had this headache (on the left side) for about 3 days, Tylenol and Allegra aren't touching it, nor is caffeine or drinking tons of water. Should I be concerned? I've heard that a lasting headache could be the sign of pre-eclampsia? Also, I've struggled with migraines for years now (this isn't a migraine, just an annoying headache) and had a few at the beginning of the pregnancy.

Talked to my OB nurse and she suggested checking my BP- on the way home it was 151/85 but when I got home it went down to 143/83. I am laying down with an ice pack now and she said that if my headache doesn't go away or my BP gets above 86 on the bottom to go to the ER. :(

oh no :( maybe your BP is just high from the pain of the headache and dealing with it for days (at least here's hoping that's what its from and nothing more serious!) Yes, keep a close eye on that bp as it can come on very quickly! And at least if you go in to the ER they can test your urine for protein and have a more concrete plan for you. All this being said though, I hope it comes down for you and turns out to be nothing!

:hugs: Sorry you're having it so rough! Keep an eye on your BP, I hope it's just up there because of the pain you're in.

I still have a headache this morning, I thought it was going away but it didn't! I am drinking a lot of water and juice and got some rest last night. I took my blood pressure this morning and it was 107/76 so that's sort of low compared to what I am used to, oh well. I just talked to the nurse, she said anything in the 80s (bottom number) I need go to to the ER as I usually run low.

Just took my BP on lunch and it was 128/80..... I called and left a message for the nurse and hope that she calls me back. I still have the headache! :(

I ended up going to the ER yesterday around 2pm, I got home around 8! It was a LONG night and my anxiety started to get the best of me. Thank goodness my husband came in right before I was being discharged, I was READY to go home. My blood pressure wasn't dangerously high, but it was high for me at 143/83... they gave me Reglan, Benedryl and Fluids via IV and my blood pressure came down to 107/66 (normal for me) and my headache subsided. All of my blood work and urinalysis came back okay and I didnt have any other signs of preeclampsia. My OB is out of the country but the on call OB wants to see me and they want to continue to monitor my blood pressure to ensure that I do not develop other symptoms or if my blood pressure goes high again!!
