Health visitor rant!

I found this on the netdoctor site, its said that the number varies on the child's health and the parents wanting to see them more frequently but the set amount is usually :

* Six to eight weeks
* Six to nine months
* 18 to 24 months
* Three to three-and-a-half years
* Four-and-a-half to five-and-a-half years

I think that the hv comes to see you soon after baby is born and then you have the choice wether to see them or not i.e at that baby clinic when you get baby weighed etc.

Here they send out letters too to do development checks as different stages of your childs life. The house I'm in at the moment I've been here over 2 years and in that time seen them once when they visited me when i moved in and any other time is when I took my daughter to get weighed as a baby.

I avoid them as much as possible 2 of my best friends have had really horrible experiences with theirs one resulting in having her daughters taken away for no good reason so when this baby is born the only contact will be when I go to the clinic.x
