i work part time and my parter is currently unemployed. I have tried applying for healthy start vouchers and they are sayig that because i am working i am not entitled to them. but when i read the requirements it says, "you or your family get" well my partner is my family so i cant work out why i wouldnt be entitled as a couple who both did work would get the same amount of money as we do but then be entitled to these vouchers on top?

anyway, has anyone been in a similar situation etc.thanks kas.

Do I qualify for Healthy Start vouchers?
You qualify for Healthy Start if you're at least 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under four years old and you or your family get:
•Income support, or
•Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance, or
•Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, or
•Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit unless your family is receiving Working Tax Credit run-on only*) AND an annual family income of £16,190 or less.

A couple that both work probably wouldn't be eligible unless working minimal hours, since if you get WTC you are ineligible. Me and my OH are ineligible, as despite me getting CTC and our joint income (I don't work) being less than £16k per year, he receives WTC, thus deeming us ineligible xx
