A few weeks ago, my 5 year old was questioning the existence of Santa. I thought I had managed to convince him, and that was the end of it.

Yesterday, though, my 3 year old was asking about going to see the real Santa. I asked him what he meant, and he said it was because santa came to visit him at nursery, but it wasn't the same santa that he had been to see at the grotto.

As they get older they do pick up the details :) Jayden went to see Santa again last night and he said now that he knows it's not the real Santa because his beard was falling down. But he thinks it's a Santa helper :)

Doesn't help that my OH played Santa twice in the past few years so my kids know that people do dress like Santa.

I have always told my boys that the Santa they visit in town and the Santa that comes to their school is not the real Santa, he is a helper that comes to help Santa. The real Santa doesnt leave the North Pole until Christmas Eve. :)

My 2 kiddies are 8 and 4 both know the santa in town is not the real one, as the other ladies said they think it's santas helper,
maybe you could try telling him that

Tell him santa is to busy this time of year so he sends his helpers down to look out for the good children :)

it would break my heart too hun if one of my children said santa wasn't real at this time of the year, in saying that I don't know how many more christmas's I will get out of shophie-louise she will be 9 next year

Mine have not even noticed :/ The one we saw at karate was OBVIOUSLY fake and a pillow up his top lol they didnt say anything.

My mum always told us that the real Santa was busy and the men we saw were his helpers and I was fine with that lol

:hugs: i was always told when i was a kid that they were santas helpers as he was far too busy gettin ready for xmas eve nite

We tell Tegan that they are Santa's helpers as the real santa is very busy :)

Santa's helpers! Santa is waaaaay to busy to leave Lapland til' his big journey on christmas eve :happydance:

My sister also tells her daughters (4&7) that the one they see in the grotto is santa's helper because he is too busy getting everything ready for xmas eve x
