Thanks guys. They have said it will be transviginal and I'm hoping that because it's private the machinery will be top of th range. Just want to know all is progressing as it should. X

Most are done transvaginal at that stage. Can be seen from abdominal scan but for accuracy they measure normally with the trans.

I saw a heartbeat at 5+5. Keep in mind it may be slower as the heart is just starting out around this time. By my 7+4 ultrasound the heartbeat was right up in normal range.

My twins had HB's at 5w2 days my other babies between 6-7 weeks got theirs x

Yup yup! We saw a little tadpole and a blinking heart at 6w0d. Babie's heartbeat was a little slower, but had picked up beautifully for the 8w scan. I have heard that it's pretty normal to not be able to see it at that point yet though.
