Heavy bleeding 5 weeks after

5 weeks after section and bleeding so heavy, also what i thought was my period started saturday just gone and iv been bleeding since then, but today got out of bed and there was a lot of blood going down my legs. Has anyone else experinced this?

I'm sorry i cant be of any more help as I didnt have this happen first time round but, didnt want to read and run! I would be on the phone to my midwife asap! They'll be able to tell you if itsnormal or something to be concerned about!!

I would get yourself to the doctor to get checked Hun, sometimes heavy bleeding with pain can be retained placenta or the tiniest bit of tissue left behind and bleeding heavily is your body's way of trying to clear it, can also lead to infection. Best to get checked!

Thanks for your replys girls. Just spoke to midwife and doctor, very normal apparently as you don't have a period for 9 months and its all getting its self back on track, I'm a real worrier to so glad I rang
