Ok I am on CD 3 and I am bleeding horribly! Since 930 am I have gone through 3 super tampons and 3 pads! It is now 12pm. I have called the doctor and he told em to give it an hour and if it hasn't stopped, come into the ER to get my blood counts checked and may have to get a DNC? I did a preg test right before my 21 weird cycle and it was neg. My question to y'all is, has anyone had this before? I have had 3 miscarriages and I didn't bleed this bad with them! Please help! Thanks!

Hey Jonnanne

I haven't experienced any heavy bleeding but didn't want to r&r. Defintely seek medical attention though as your doctor says if it carries on.

Hope all is ok

I can understand your worry, and having now had a couple of bleeds similar to what you are describing. Wearing pads and super tampons, changing them hourley, complete with huge clots (sorry tmi!!)

Unfortunatly, despite my worry, my docs have not seem it the same way and tell me it is normal!!??!!

I hope everything is ok for you too.

Yes! I have/do. Mine have been horrible, and I am already anemic. I should really get my blood checked. I go through about 1 super-plus tampon in about 20 minutes and I have had clots the size of my hand before. Sometimes I get really faint and sickly. I have told the DR's, but they all shrug it off. Makes me wonder if there is something related to my heavy bleeding and infertility. Apparently there is a drug that can slow/stop your period. I don't know what it is called, but I had to talk to an OB/GYN while at work one day and experiencing really really heavy flow, and he told me about it. But, he was not my OB. Mine was on holidays, so I just called this one for information purposes. I was told to go see someone right away, but, my work had already gotten mad at me for missing a day's work the day before because AF was so heavy. Sucks. It TOTALLY interferes with my life and work.

This same thing was happening to me after i got my tubes tied i was bleedn all the time with clots as big as my hand and they fall in the tub and blood would crawal up my back at work so i would miss days of work so i decidedto ge a tubal revesal may 1st and the doc told me i had alot of scared tissue from the last c section

The drug you are talking about JASMAK is called tranexamic acid. You take it for upto 3-4 days to slow down the bleeding.

It is very effective, my GP prescribed it to me after my mc, as my 1st 2 periods were incredibly heavy, I was soaking through a super plus extra tampon in an hour.
I was told you get the big clots because of the heavy bleeding.

I would definitley see if you can get it prescribed.

Thanks ladies! Yesterday after i posted this, I rested for about 30 minutes and it all but went away! I have spotted last night and today and that is it! It is very weird. I have never had that happen to me before and it really scared the shit out of me! Thank you all for your replies and Tina I hope you are able to get some help with your periods and some answers too! :hugs: to all!

That's great that it stopped on it's own. Glad you don't have to deal with a Dr. visit!

:hugs::hugs: Hey hun, glad your fine.... i was thinking are you back on the meds again???? if NO then that is your answer your body is getting rid of all the build up from all the hormones... I always have that when i stop my pills, and have a KILLER of a AF 2weeks later.....:hugs::hugs:
