Hi Ladies,

I'm on my forth cycle of clomid (3x50mg 1x100mg) and every month I get the same thing. My period is extremely heavy and painful. I can barely walk for the first two days. The consultant and doctor have said this can be the case and therefore considered 'normal', but I have to have a day off work at least for the first day until I can actually walk and be away from the bathroom longer than an hour. Does anyone else have this problem? I feel so low and guilty that I'm missing work every time my period comes around. Trouble is, if you've never experienced this then people just think you're being over dramatic about 'that time of the month'. I now find AF's arrival more upsetting because of the physical side of things rather than another failed cycle! Not sure how many more AF like this I can take!! Also feel like nobody understands what I'm going through. I wouldn't wish this on anybody but if you are it would be nice to know I'm not alone :(

Oh my dear, I know exactly what u mean by painful period with clomid. I used clomid + progesterone for only one cycle, the whole experience was a disaster, clomid side effects were a real drama, the heat, the ovaries pain, dizziness and blurred vision and vomiting... Ovulation time was another story, I couldn't walk, it was so painful, even bowel movement was so uncomfortable.
Then my period came with the most pain I ever had. I couldn't get out of bed, I went to ER thinking something is definitely wrong and they found many large cysts..
I decided not to take clomid again, I don't know, I am scared to go through the same.
I really wish u luck, Ur not alone in this, I pray for our BFP. Take care.

I thought it was only me this happened to. My AF all 4 cycles of clomid were soooo painful. I literally felt like my ovaries were going to jump right out of my skin. I couldn't sleep or anything. Not to mention how many sheets were ruined because of the super heavy flow that pads just wouldnt hold. TMI. It ended up being a waste for me because I never ovulated with the clomid. Wishing you the very best of luck. It will get better. :) Baby dust.

I feel the same way. I can only do clomid every other month...i feel like i need a month to physically recover between cycles. Even BDing is painful. So sorry you are going through this :(
