Hello,

I just turned 35 and I just found out I was BFP!:happydance:
My husband is happy but does not want to get too excited because he does not want me hurt if it is not true or per se, "sticky". I took several tests and all said BFP and I am going to just take in the moment as I can.

Nonetheless, I am clueless to this. When do I schedule next any doctor's appointments?Any words of advice as I try to approach this journey at the beginning?

Thanks and bests,
Marmar

Welcome and congrats! You may want to call your OB/GYN and ask them how soon they want to see you, but normally its about 8 weeks or so..I had my first appt/consult at 6 weeks because of my age (40) and because I have a history of endometriosis, but it's different for everyone, best to call. In the beginning I would just try and relax (you'll likely feel like doing nothing other than sleeping anyway, at least thats how I was), eat healthy and research as much as you can. Though I will say there is so much info overload online that it's sometimes overwhelming and confusing!

Congrats again and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy!

Many congratulations!I got in touch as soon as found out and have an appointment with my midwife Friday.Best get in touch with your doctor and they will tell you what's best.Good luck!x

Thank you for the help and advice. It is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations :)! Best of luck as you begin this wonderful journey--enjoy every minute of it!

My best advice to you is to try to relax as much as you can.

Don't read the "sad posts" in the first trimester forum because they may scare you unnecessarily.

Every twinge and tiny pain doesn't mean things are going wrong. Your body needs to stretch and ready itself for the baby and those growing pains are normal and should be welcomed.

You may get terribly sick with morning sickness or you may not. Rest assured it does go away and if it's really bad, your doc can give you medicine to help.

You will have EVERY possible emotion known to (wo)man. Get used to them now because you will have most of them tenfold when the baby finally arrives.

Rest when you have the chance. Just trust me on this one.

Everything your friends have told you about having kids is probably true. The difference is now you are going to experience it yourself. Welcome to the wonderful world of being a mama. :)

Welcome and congrats! :)

For my first pregnancy, I don't think I saw the doctor until I was 9 weeks along. (That was 12 years ago, though). This time, I found out I was pregnant AT my annual exam, so that's not much help either. And since I'm having twins, the Doc sees me every 3 weeks. So....I don't know when your first appointment should be, but since so many doctor's keep full appointment books, I advise you to go ahead and get it on the calendar even if they don't want to see you for several weeks.
