My DH and I were NTNP for 18 months then a year ago decided we better find out if anything wrong with either of us. Discovered DH had very low motility though count and morphology were good.
Anyway after a year of DH taking every vitamin and supplement under the sun, cutting the rubbish out of his diet and cutting down on alcohol(my poor DH it's like hell for him but he wants a baby as much if not more than me so is willing) another sperm test - results back today reveal nothings changed and our likelihood of a natural conception more or less zero.
Feel in a way the last year of really serious TTC been a waste, all that angst and hope every month when we had no chance but at least we tried the natural way I guess.
Anyway IVF starts in Jan. I'm very very nervouse, I'd really hoped we wouldnt have to go through it. Plus only the one go on the NHS and we would not be able to afford another for a long while and with me being 34(DH 37) thats another worry.
If anyone has any advice on how to prepare myself physically for the IVF please let me know, I'd be so grateful, I'm thinking of trying acupuncture and reflexology to relax me as I get very stressed and I've already cut alcohol down to almost nothing but think better cut it out altogther. What do you think? That is going to be hell over xmas and new year but hopefully worth it in the long run!! Any other tips would be great.
Huge thank you to anyway whos read this long rambling post and sending lots of
