:dust::dust:Hi Ladies, I've decided to move over from TTC.

My DH and I were NTNP for 18 months then a year ago decided we better find out if anything wrong with either of us. Discovered DH had very low motility though count and morphology were good.

Anyway after a year of DH taking every vitamin and supplement under the sun, cutting the rubbish out of his diet and cutting down on alcohol(my poor DH it's like hell for him but he wants a baby as much if not more than me so is willing) another sperm test - results back today reveal nothings changed and our likelihood of a natural conception more or less zero.

Feel in a way the last year of really serious TTC been a waste, all that angst and hope every month when we had no chance but at least we tried the natural way I guess.

Anyway IVF starts in Jan. I'm very very nervouse, I'd really hoped we wouldnt have to go through it. Plus only the one go on the NHS and we would not be able to afford another for a long while and with me being 34(DH 37) thats another worry.

If anyone has any advice on how to prepare myself physically for the IVF please let me know, I'd be so grateful, I'm thinking of trying acupuncture and reflexology to relax me as I get very stressed and I've already cut alcohol down to almost nothing but think better cut it out altogther. What do you think? That is going to be hell over xmas and new year but hopefully worth it in the long run!! Any other tips would be great.

Huge thank you to anyway whos read this long rambling post and sending lots of :dust::dust: to you all.

Hi Lucy and welcome to LTTC. Im also having and IVF cycle in January. Congrats on cutting out alcohol, ive also read to cut out caffeine. I dont know if i can do that. But i do remember my 1st cycle It was really easy and the smell of coffee made me sick.

Which clinic are you with?

Hi Dilek

Sorry about your MC.

I'm having my treatment at Queen Marys Roehampton. It seems quite good, I cant make head or tail of the comparison sites where they list the best places but for my age group its about 36% success. I'm not getting my hopes up at all though. I'm having ICSI are you?

I don't drink coffee but I do drink 2-4 cups of tea a day!! I suppose I should cut that down. I don't think I could do without my morning cuppa though. Maybe I'll try decaf tea.

Hi

Im at Homerton Fertility Clinic, I dont know much about those comparison sites. But when i did look they had old data. Besides the crap area its in, they have some good success rates. But I dont think they are any good in determing individual success rates. Im kinda lucky being in City and Hackney borough we get 3 free goes.

Last time we were meant to have IVF, however after high stim of drugs I only ended up with one good egg so we did do ICSI. Im praying for a better response this time. Im 28.

How about starting a journal, the girls here are lovely.
