Help. Anyone!! ADHD? Autism?

I've been away from here for a few days so sorry I haven't for back to you.

Thank you so much everyone for your replies.

Don't I feel like a very silly over worried mummy. I actually forget (it's been a crazy first year with her and had a lot going on with her allergies etc) but suddenly between 7-8 months she did everything, crawled, stood up, talked, cruised along furniture, pretty much everything came one after the other. Naturally things then slowed down a lot. I think that's where the worry came from because she did everything all at once I guess when she was showing signs of doing something new then stopped I guess the worry set it. Maybe my expectations are to high. I am really trying to switch off my worries and enjoy my daughter for what she is and can do.

The last few days she has been babbling more and more, she said grandad the other day and has been saying it since, she has also been trying to say cat. She has took off walking, she's obviously still a little unbalanced but she will just stand up and walk to what she wants. She will instantly stop it I clap and praise her so ive stopped doing that (even though I want her to know how proud I am of her). She has also started pointing yesterday and looking around for things when I ask her ( she will look to the kitchen when I ask her where' the cat? Cause that's where they usually are) :)
I must remember next time worry sets it she will probably surprise me and just do things one after the other for a few days/weeks then go quiet again.

I do feel really ridiculous for writing this post and like some of you might of judged me as being a crazy pushy mum. I am honestly not like that. I do still have a few worries with the lack of eye contact and not listening to her name but hopefully that will come in time.

Thanks again all x

Don't worry Hun. we are all over worried mommies and sometimes need other people to bounce our ideas off of. I'm glad your dd showed improvement. if you are still worried, keep a journal. it is an excellent idea. :hugs:

:hugs: Don't feel silly hun. With both things running in the family its no wonder you worried. It's really not a hard thing to do and us mummies sometimes panic when theres no need. Im the same with my youngest because i know were looking for delays and problems due to issues just after he was born and often find myself finding fault where there is none. Im so glad she is doing some of the things you were worried about hun, before you know it shes going to be running everywhere.

For eye contact and name recognition sit right in front of her and make sure she can see your face when your speaking and say her name (you might need to do it a few times progressively louder) and see what happens and if she responds. if she does respond then if you can gradually move yourself away a little (while playing or reading etc).

make a note each time in a diary or something like that on what you did and what her reaction was that way when you see the health visitor again you can let her read the notes xx

:hugs: No-one judged you lady!!! Any concern is valid :flower: We're here for you!
