HELP... baby moving????? thought I was only 8 weeks

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone could advise me...

I am supposedly 7-8 weeks pregnant according to my last period (14 June). This is my second pregnancy, my DD is 20 months.

But I have just been watching, with my husband (who inititally didn't believe me) my stomach being kicked. No its definitely not wind.... It is absolutely and distinctly the baby moving about and kicking!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a very short and light period prior to this one just 3 days. But even if I was a month ahead and 11-12 weeks it would be most unusual to see my baby moving?

It is very distinct movement and you can see my stomach clearly moving and it feels absolutely identical to being kicked by my previous pregnancy! There's no mistaking it. But then I didn't feel anything till 16 or 17 weeks or possibly later. My husband is speechless, it just kicked his hand repeatedly! He believes me now!!!

I am on holiday at the moment and have no way of getting checked but coming back to the UK on Sunday so will go first thing on Monday to see the doctor.

I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything like this?

there is a thing called phantom kicks where it looks and feels like a baby moving but is just gas /air bubbles google it

And blood flo can sometimes feel like a baby kicking.. but its really your heart beat

I've been having this as well, and I'm only 10 weeks! I have just assumed that it is something else, but I'll admit I've been reassessing just to be sure I'm not farther than I think! They say you feel it earlier in the second pregnancy, but this is FAR too early!

in my second pregnancy I still didnt feel the baby move til I was 14 weeks, and I was told that was early.. First I didnt feel til 16 or 17 weeks.. This time I am only 6 weeks so I know I have some time till i feel the baby.. But i have felt gas and my heart beat, in that area already..

for 8 wks theres no way the baby literally is not even half the size of your palm probably as big as your finger so your either further on or its definitly wind which can also cause movements in the stomach and really does feel like a baby. im on my 4th now and even after my 3rd i thought i had another babba in there but it werent :/ id see someone when you get back you can from 12 wks onwards start to feel something after 1st 2nd ect but its a very rare thing! sorry to burst your bubble but those firsts are always exciting even if it is wind lol xx

Hi everyone,

Had a scan today, baby is fine and measuring 7 weeks 1 day so whatever the kicking was it wasn't a baby!

Totally bizarre though, perhaps some sort of spasm in colon the nurse thought.

Funny. I've been "feeling" these babies since like 5 weeks. Maybe bc of twins? Or phantom?

I didnt want to sound like a bitch but at 7-8 weeks there is no way to feel movement like that. Now if this isnt your 1st pregnancy it is possible to feel movement sooner but not that soon!

No I realised that, hence getting scan to confirm whether I was further along or not... now that would have been a surprise!
