Hi

Ok so I am being induced in the morning and thought I'd wash all my bottles and sterilise them now. It's a microwave sterliser I have any it doesn't fit my micro properly! The only way I can get it in is to take out the turn table. My question is, is it ok to use without it rotating or does it have to or doesn't it matter? I can't see any steriliser that are smaller so the only other option is a new microwave which I really didn't want to have to spend £50 on at the moment.

Thanks for any help :flower: x

Hey hun,

not sure about the microwave, but if you can find them in superdrug/boots/most supermarkets a good alternative is Milton (costs about £2 for a month supply).

All you need is the tablets/fluid and a tub that can hold 5l, preferably with a lid! Mothercare sell one for £15 made for the purpose.

xx

I would imagine you would need the turn table so that it steralises evenly. Also they only stay sterile for 24 hours if you don't open the steraliser or once you have assembled the steralised bottles with lids on (so may be worth holding off steralising them till you get home after having baby). as pp suggests maybe a milton steralising system may be good for you.
Hope the induction goes well xxxx

We have this problem with my mums microwave. She has to take the round metal thing out to get it in and it still spins round. Give that a try maybe?

I don't know why taking that bit out works, but it does. Can't get it in unless that's out lol xD

I don't see why it would be a problem. All it's really doing is getting the water hot enough to steam the bottles. The microwave is going to do that to the water whether it's spinning or not.
