I got pregnant on clomid I'm September and had a miscarriage end of October. I got my period twice since then including right now. And they are putting me on clomid again right now, just took my first pill.. Same dosage as last time. I heard u have to keep going up and it doesn't work more than once?! Anyone know

As long as it makes you ovulate then it is working. I've never heard that you HAVE to go up or that it only works once, scientifically that doesn't make sense. Are you doing monitored cycles? Cause as long as you ovulate then it's working.

I am not doing monitored cycles. I only did one cycle before I got pregnant, so it obviously worked that time. I'm just worried about this time. Plus with my PCOS I get positive opks everytime.. But I just took my first clomid this morning and I'm worried because last time I had instant hot flashes.. And I feel nothing :-/

If it's only 50mg and you don't get a bfp this round, then maybe they can up it to 100mg on the next one?

Yes they said they would raise it to 100 next month. BUT they are only allowing me to take it 3 times :( so in the next two months if I don't get a bfp I'm kind of screwed! So stressful!

There's no step after clomid for you? How come they'll only give you 3? I see that you're in the US, is it your insurance that's saying that? My insurance doesn't pay for fertility treatment so I've already been screwed...and my clomid rounds are monitored = more $. You should temp to confirm ovulation if you're not being monitored. Clomid can make the temps a little screwy but there's still the pre-O lows and the post-O highs with a coverline.
