Help?? FRER - weird results!

Tested yesterday with FMU @ 10dpo and got a faint line on FRER - woohoo! So then I took another one out of the same box and got the same thing - another woohoo! I took a digi - came back not preggo. I wasn't too worried because I know they are not as sensitive.

Today, 11dpo, tested with FMU, used a different box of FRER (but same lot number) and got another faint positive. Then I opened another box - different lot number - and got a BFN. I used the same urine, as I had peed in a cup. What do I think of this? Is it possible to have a false positive? I've attached the pics and would love opinions!

When the lines came up on the faint positives, they were there within 30 seconds.

I definitely see a line. I would test again with frest urine on your next test. That may be why you got a BFN and yest the digi's are not as sensitive in detecting early pregnancy.

I'm really not sure. I'd think it's more likely that you got a false negative than a false positive. Maybe try again in a day or two. GL!

I will try and wait til at least Sunday to test again - but I don't know if I can stand it. I went for a blood test yesterday since I was so excited about a BFP. The results should be in today, so at least I'll know if that's a false positive or not.

Hi, they are looking like positives for sure, if the lines were up with in the time limit (so not evaps) i would say they are more likely to be a positive in the making as you still early days- which as you mentioned would make the digital test negative as less effective.

So yes it is much more likely to get a false negative than a false positive, I would try and hold on until sunday morning and test again with first morning urine.

honestly, false negatives RARELY EVER happen, so I'm willing to bet that you are indeed pregnant!!! Congrats!!

Those lines are pink too! Which generally means, not an evap. I'd say it's baby time!! Congrats!

Blood work from yesterday came back neg Why, oh why, did the FRER come up pos today? Seems like some sick, cruel joke.

I will write the company tonight, complete with the lot #s of the kits.

Did they give you a number? It could still be early and that's why they said negative. Anything below a 5 in most places is considered a negative, some places it's 10 (like here).

No, it was a qualitative test only. I've messaged my doctor to see if she knows the cutoff for the test.

Could a urine test be more sensitive than a blood test??

Yeah here my hospital said they consider positive a 25 ! And if you're above a 10 in my oppinion you're damn well pregnant since some test are 10miu.

I don't want to bring you down, but I had those same results a few years ago on the same test. I had a line that slowly faded away. I "was" pregnant for a short time. It was a chemical. It may be the same for you and by the time you got the blood test the HCG was nearly gone. It is just a thought. However it could be that the cut off for the blood test was higher than the HCG you have right now. Good luck I hope the cut off was just higher than the FRER reads.

Yes I think there's still some hope for you, perhaps you might be able to call back and ask exactly what the your level was or if I was 0

I tried 2 yesterday morning from the same lot number. They both gave faint lines. I had also tried a digi that came out neg - but I wasn't that worried. This morning, I tried another FRER (again, same lot, but new box) and had a line. Then I also opened an entire new lot and got nothing.

I also had one left from the old lot that gave me the positives. I tried it on my tap water to see if it was just the dye messing up. There was nothing there. Clearly, there is/was something in my urine making it turn positive.

I had thought about the possibility of a chemical too, because I know they are so common this early. However, my blood test was yesterday and I still had the positive this morning.

I'm so confused...

I guess it's a waiting game now. I'm 11dpo today. I'm going to try and give testing a rest for the weekend and try to relax. AF would be due on Monday, so I guess that will tell me something.

hmmm, I still wouldn't say your out...maybe wait and see what happens...10 DPO is still early...
