Hi!
We are going to UK soon and I have no clue what food Tesco offers babies!
I am wondering:
* Does Tesco sell prune puree (my baby desperately needs this for the poop factory!)?
* What make/brand of already food is the best? (she usually eats our food but made into babyfood with rod mixer) Can you please recommend a few that has a lot of taste in them (as she is so used to adult food she doesn't like the more often tasteless babyfood cans!)
* What diapermake/brand does the best nappy pants/pull ups?

Thank you so much for your help!

I'm sorry, am i missing something?:flower:
You said your LO eats your food..well i was wondering why she wouldn't continue to do so? Is there a reason why you'll be giving her jars?
And i actually find Tesco own brand nappies great, but really you have to try a few different brands to see what works best for your lo?
Oh and there are also other shops apart from tesco (thought you wouldn't always think it!:haha:)
:hugs:
Oh and no idea about prune puree, but they do do prune juice, and maybe you could just puree some prunes yourself?

wow umm ive never seen or looked for prune puree but am sure it would actually be alot cheaper to just make it yourself??

I have no idea about ready made food as we make all Leos food and freeze it.

Regarding nappies, if your after cheaper brands then i recommend Asda little angels range. If your ok with popular more expensive brands then id say Huggies.

Hope that helps a little :flower:

Is Tesco the only supermarket that is near where you are staying? Only reason I ask is because I don't shop there so can't be much help unfortunately!!

I go to Asda, and must agree with Jox - their own range of nappies & pull ups are amazing. They are called Little Angels and are a lot cheaper than named brands.

I know Asda stock ''Ella's Kitchen'' organic baby food which I think is fab, I'd eat it myself it tastes so good!! :haha: So wouldn't hesitate giving it to my LO. I've tasted some of the stuff that comes in them jars and IMO I don't think they taste that great!! Ella's Kitchen do a baby brekkie that is raisin & prune puree, natural youghurt & wholegrain rice :) x

I have always stuck with Pampers myself.
I would go on the tesco website if i was you and browse the baby section to give you some better idea's:)x

Im assuming your coming on holiday?

Popular brands here are huggies and pampers for nappies. I favoured huggies for newborn baby nappies and now pampers baby dry. Food wise Hipp organics are popular and are 10 for 5 pounds in most of the supermarkets.

I cant find any prune purees on the internet but if you can get jarred purees where you are you should be able to bring it with you

Hiya!

I would strongly recommend pampers nappies, they last a 12 hour sleep, they are slightly more expensive (very slightly) but worth it honestly.

Ella's kitchen seems popular as I think its organic, some of my friends use them when out and about but I have no idea as not weaning yet! Although supermarkets do sell really cheap rod blenders if you were in a position to be able to blend your own cooking, but if its a hotel or something then there yeah Ella's kitchen?

Prune puree I have never seen x

If we are going to a restaurant then not so nice to have her eat our food as not the easiest always to get it made "baby friendly".
It is mostly the prune puree I am worrying about. This works great for us, no need for chemical stuff when we give her prune puree which is awesome!
Do you by any chance know if they have prune puree or anything else in food way that makes it easier for them to poop?
Pear doesnt quite do it, not as helping as the prune puree, I am wondering maybe I have translated the word wrongly as when I googled hardly nothing comes up by prune puree!

I think so as my family member over there said we will go to Tesco, but maybe there are smaller shops as well. I personally preferred Sainsburys or M&S Food when I lived in Glasgow (MY GOD I MISS GLASGOW WEST END and Loch Lomond!!!!!).

I have checked and Tesco DOES stock Ella's Kitchen so you'd be able to get this x

Yeah seem to be a problem with the prune puree, it is really fab. Half a small jar a day and she doesn't have any problems to poop!
I am a bit afraid taking them with me on the flights as they are in glass cans, even if I pack them well surrounded by clothes and so forth I fear them bursting up in the air or getting smashed by the airline staff! :-(
I don't even have a clue if the chemical stuff needs a prescription so will have to look into that tomorrow then:( I so much prefer giving her natural things instead of chemical things!

you've translated right, we just dont use prunes here much. There are these https://www.ellaskitchen.co.uk/butternut-squash-carrots-apples-prunes-stage-1-baby-food/
https://www.ellaskitchen.co.uk/raisin-n-prune/

I would reccomend Ellas kitchen pouches too.
Aliyah LOVES these. They smell lovely and i have even tasted a few & not bad:)x

Thank you for sorting that out for me!
I'll need to make a plan how to get her prune puree with her!
I think I don't want to interrupt this great habit to keep her belly well, and start giving her chemical stuff to help her with the poop!
Prunes make wonders with the poop:-D

Could you not take the jars in your hand luggage??

xxx

Thank you!
They just started selling Ellas kitchen here (Sweden) and have suspiciously checked them out (as they are new here in the stores) but after you ladies recommendations I will definitely try, they sound yummy for my little baby!

Unfortunately I doubt it, the customs here allow babyfood to be part of handluggage if it is food for the trip only.
I would need about 5 jars (minimum at least 4) to keep her belly in trim for the time in UK (8 days).

But it was a great advice but customs rules are so tough these days!:nope:
