Hi there! 
This threat is on behalf of my best friend who is struggling to find a christmas present for her half-brother (8 years old).
He is, as she says, a very quiet but imaginative little boy, but a little behind his peers developmentally. Because of this she doesn't want to get anything too challenging thinking wise, since he's easily frustrated when things don't work out immediately. Books are also off the hook since his parents don't read to him and he's already been held back a grade and is struggling too much with reading to do the reading himself.
His interests primarily lie with TV, legos and action figures. The latter two aren't an option for gifts though since he "just about has everything there is that is within the price range".
Any other ideas?
Maybe one of you has a little boy with a similar personality and has some inspiration for us?
