So, Sophie made a daring plunge the floor yesterday where DH immediately stepped on her with his big ol' combat boots that have been to Afghanistan. Needless to say I think she's going to need a bath before LO starts chewing on her again
Normally, I just wipe down her hard toys with a Dreft wipes and throw her soft stuff in the washing machine. But, I'm wondering what to do with Sophie! If I wash her in sink with some dish soap will her squeaker break?

I haven't had any situations with Sophie where she required more than a quick wipe-down, but my cousin puts hers in the dishwasher. I'm assuming if she can go through a dishwasher with no problems a wash in the sink would be fine!

Sophie's been in the bath and all sorts here - her squeaker does take water in but just let it drain out while squeaking her and she should dry out ok. Tbh she collects dribble from LO anyway so can't see how a dishwasher would hurt :)

I just give her a properly nice soapy hot wash in the sink but i keep my finger over the squeaker hole! Seems to work ok so far :)

Same here and she is still going strong 8 months down the line:thumbup:

I just use hot soapy water and wash her with the brush without actually dunking her in the water! Then rinse her off and avoid the hole! Then stuck her on the drainer hole down to let out any water! Xxx

Just like the other ladies, I wash her under the tap with some dawn dish soap with my finger over the squeeker. She's gotten water in her before, just takes a little while to dry out again (makes her nice an quiet for a while :haha:)

Haha, I thought I was the only one who washes Sophie with dish soap while keeping my finger on her squeaker hole! We wash her all the time like that.
