hi everyone im new to this site just needed advise hoping this site isn't just for women.

Anyways about five months ago me and now my ex girlfriend started seeing each other behind her ex's back, i know we were wrong to do this but all loved had left there relationship anyways she became pregnant and is now having my child but has become very quite about the whole situation we dont see each other as much and she is starting to see her ex more and more and keeps saying they are just friends and saying me and her might have a chance to get back together in the future. but now she has said i can't see her till she's ready to see me so the next time i will see her is at the scan, and i'm thinking she will try and limit how much i can see the baby when it is born especially if her and her ex sorts things out, my main concern is that she has 3 children with her ex and im fine with that it's just i have seen her hit her child around the head not a little slap quite a hard one not enough to leave a mark tho also i have seen her hit her eldest around the back 3 times in a row really hard because he would'nt behave, i have also seen the neglect the children have suffered from both parents the father and mother both sit there playing the xbox while the kids run riot or somebody else sorts them out, my main qestion is how could i prove this without her knowing i was gain evidence for use after the baby is born and what kind of evidance would i be able to use i court e.g. photos, videos of her hitting the children or neglecting them

Thanks people :)

by the way i know this sounds extremly selfish of me using the abuse the children suffer to gain an advantage when the babys born in court but i just don't want our child to go up under the same conditions and i don't think her children should too but i cannot help there situation as far as im awear :)

If you have concerns about your childs welfare and her childrens welfare you should speak to social servcies

I agree with the above poster, if you are concerned about the welfare of the children, social services is the place to go. You do have rights to see your child, your biggest battle will be getting your name put on the birth certificate (this gives you whats called 'parental responsibility'). You sound like you really want to be there for your child, which is great, but i would try and do things regarding access etc informally in the first instance. This works great with me and my ex, he gets to see the twins pretty much as often as he likes, but it will depend how your situation works out. If she becomes hostile and/or tries to deny all access then i would take it through legal channels. Also bear in mind that you are legally obliged to pay maintenance for the child, 15% of your earnings usually. Again this can be agreed informally (this is what me and my ex do), or taken through the CSA. I'm not trying to be the messenger of doom here, but in my opinion she is stringing you and the other fella along while she decides what she wants... I hope it all works out ok :-)

If you have any concerns about the childrens safety you need to contact Social Services asap. They will then investigate. You can do this anonamously if you wish. Please don't just leave it and hope someone else will sort it out.

you can call Childrens Services but keep in mind... It is not as simple as picking up the phone and they come in and "fix everything". Sometimes they do a great job of making things right and sometimes they screw it up. It will not just effect the parents, it effects the kids too. You cant take it back once you call. and you can call Anon but if it went to court, they can find out it was you.
