Is this almost positive? Should I start testing 2 times a day now?

hi, OPK's test lines are meant to be as dark or darker than the control line for it to be positive, if you keep testing and it gets darker, it means you're ready to ovulate.

I am very new to TTC, do you need to start DTD when you get a positive reading?
How long after a positive reading is it 'too late' xx

normal recommendation is to DTD every other day for about 2-3 days before a positive OPK and then on the ovulation day or day after, depending on how much your OH can DTD for!! Some men struggle to do it so much over a short period of time, just make sure their 'man hood' is cooled down before DTD as this will help the swimmers!! A cool shower before or a cold flannel just before DTD should help. xxxx

Right. I know it has to be the same color or darker to be positive, but I tested a few days in a row now and this is the darkest I've got. So, do I need to test 2 times or more a day now? We are TTC #2. I used these with my son, but I don't remember how dark they need to be in order to test multiple times a day.

if the tests are getting darker each day its best to DTD every other day or if your partner's sperm count is good doing it every day until the test line fades would be a safe way to catching that egg. a good indicator of ovulation is egg white cervical mucus, once you notice ewcm test with an opk to determine if you're ovulating, just a good way to save on opks

But how would you know 2-3 days before the OPK

I know I don't know very much - total newbie here! But if it was me I would DTD every day as it keeps getting darker xx

you check your cervical mucus consistency, if it looks like egg whites then you are fertile, usualy this starts a day or so before ovulation. once you see that test with an opk

BD'd tonight. I took another test and it was slightly darker! Thank you all for your input. And don't worry about taking over my post. We're all here to help one another! Don't be afraid to take it over lol.
