Help me find my niche!

So long story short, I knew OH wanted to buy a new tv. I had told him specifically that I wanted to be able to give my opinion on the tv BEFORE he bought it.

He bought a tv and didn't even bother to tell me for 2 days. I got pretty angry.
Last night I asked him why he did it.

He said that tech stuff was his 'realm'. I can find my own 'realm'.


So ladies what can my new realm/niche be and what is yours?

So far I have
The realm of painting random parts of a room hideous colours.
and
The realm or rearranging his stuff for no reason.

My "niche" or my "thing" is video games. It used to be fashion, but since having LO, that's totally went to shite .

I'm the same as PP, mine is video games
My OH decides everything on his own & I started feeling like I was rubbish at everything til I made him buy a PS3 (he obv didn't object) and now he's realised I'm much better than him at that

I like crafty stuff but there is no way I have time to do that while LO is so young. In a few years I will be able to get back into it.

I am rubbish at all modern video games lol! I was good at games on the SNES when I was little. Mariokart FTW!

I have been thinking about it and he has basically said because 'tech' is his thing I get no say in it.

Therefore I get to pick anything I want call it my 'thing' and he gets no say.
Maybe I could tie-dye all his work shirts - that's a niche right?

My oh is in charge of tech in this house.....even when it's for me But then he normally pays and he is more interested than I am. Did he make a good choice with the tv? When we bought a new one I was dragged around for hours while he decided which one he wanted, I would have been quite happy if he'd gone and bought one

Your thing could be cleaning the bathroom (with his toothbrush).

OH has already decided what TV he wants, I don't get a say with anything technological, I was desperate to find something for myself then I remembered how much I loved Photoshop years ago so I started using it again. I can spend hours editing my pictures to make me look better.

is there anything he tries to have an input on? like if your doing something and he turns around and says something like 'have you thought about this?....or doing it this way?....or trying this one out instead? if he does next time he does it turn around to him and say 'i will do this/that/ as its my thing'
if he gets wound up about it tell him that tech is his thing so go forth and multiply and do something 'techy'

It is a really good tv but it is way bigger than I wanted and it will look ridiculous in our living room.
