So I'll be finding out the gender next week, and I would love to have names ready by then. We've decided for a boy, his name will be Bennett Leo.
I actually had a girl name picked out first, Margo Kate, and I was in love with it! My husband said Margo sounded harsh, so I tried to move on to other names. Now he is fine with it, and told me to ignore what he said, but now I'm just not really feeling it anymore. My husband has zero suggestions, so it's really me picking a name, and him saying okay.
I also like Margaret, but not sold on it. Meredith is pretty, but it's hard imagining a baby with that name.
Ruby is probably the front runner right now, but I do have reservations with it. I'd prefer not having top 100 names, and Ruby is, especially in other countries. Another reservation I have is my maiden name was a color, and my sister's name is Violet. I was against naming her that due to the color last name, so it seems weird giving my own child a color name (our last name is different now.) If I used Ruby, I have no ideas for a middle name.
I also really like Alana, but will not use it due to the likelihood of mispronunciation and misspelling.
Other names I had written down-
Caroline (too common)
Sloane (Neither of us LOVE)
Lydia (Husband doesn't like)
Norah
Please leave suggestions
