help please, posting problems

and it wont let me copy and paiste what is happening..

almost every time im trying to post im getting that my message is to short please post at least one character...here is the weird part, Im posting a paragraph so i dont understand :shrugg: also not letting me touch a smilie and use it, i have to type it out..

another problem is sometimes when I go to reply on some threads, I get a message saying that i do no have permission to be posting that i need to contact the administrator or that im not allowed to see. These are on everyday threads that are not locked or for just (some _ people)

help please...I dont know how to fix this

Is what you are posting in quotes by any chance? if you are using the quote function it would tell you to type a character.

Not sure on the smilies or the not being allowed to view the threads I'm afraid but will speak with another admin.

sometimes i hit quote reply so the person knows what im addressing but other then that no. I have not used it....its only happening today...the not allowd to view has happened for a few days on different posts in different forums on different threads...so im not sure what is going on with either..

plum weird..LOL

(ps) like now to post it said i dont have enough characters and as you see I do. had to back page a few times for it to let me post then it lets me post

Could you clear you cache and reboot the computer please.

At the moment (to my knowledge) nobody else is experiencing these problems. If the problem persists could you please post in the one to one Technical Support so our tech guy can help you. Please provide him with the following:
Country
Device
Browser and version if known
Screen shot if possible of the error message
Details of the problems you are experiencing

I have a simalar problem, I can't create a new thread and I can only reply to threads if I go to quick reply, then preveiw message. My smilies won't work and it says my message is not long enough I also can't link images.

I live in Sweden,
I use my laptop, on my mobile it is fine.

I would post in technical support but I can't make a new thread, maybe someone could repost this reply?

I changed your message editor interface from standard with extra formatting controls to enhanced with full wysiwyg. You can find that setting in your User CP Edit Options near the bottom. Try switching that back and forth.

The editor behavior you describe occurs when javascript isn't working. It could be disabled, or blocked by an addon or other browser settings.

You should also update your browser. I can see that you're using Firefox 12. The current release is 18.0.2. To update click on Help, About Firefox.
