My boyfriend/baby daddy's mom doesnt like the girl name (Sativa Marie) ive picked out and i really like it but she wants me to change it. what do i do?

i think the name is beautiful. people always make fun of the name i have for my daughter Sadie Mae, they say its a dogs name and i just simply say no weird people name their animals after real people cause Sadie is not a dogs name its a human name thats like naming your dog Alice and going around the rest of your life saying that alice is a dogs name. its your baby no one else's.

Definitely do not change your name choice because of a grandparent! If you feel that, that is the name you want for a girl then its perfect and everyone should see it that way. Mothers know what name suits there baby better than anyone else

I say screw em!!! my family gave me HELL over names, they literally tore me apart about every freaking name i picked out. Till i told them all to just shut up!!! its your baby !! name it what EVER you want and once you are firm and put your foot down youll see them shut up

Abigail I could not agree more. I love the name William for my son and they kept saying no like they had a say so. OHs sister every time we seen her shed say so its Sebastian right? Have we decided on a name? I would always be polite and say wed consider changing it til one day I said "yeah we decided were absolutely naming him William and were not going to change it". Not once have we spoke about names again.
