help please

heya everyone,,,
well im hoping on breastfeeding but was wondering during the nights is it ok for baby to be fed formula or would that mess up the breastfeeding its just i want OH to have a chance to feed etc..??

You can use formula as long as the feeds are around the same time.

I use formula for a feed at 11am everyday and it doesnt affect my supply as its always the same time of day.

Edit: I waited untill 2 weeks exclusive bf before introducing a bottle, for us it took that long to get established.

like AG said, if you give formula at the same time, it's fine, just needs to be at the same time each day for your boobies!! have you thought about expressing so LO can have a bottle of boobie milk rather than formula??

i'd give it a couple of weeks before introducing a bottle tho, just to make sure BF is established cos otherwise it can cause confussion problems! same with expressing, you need to make sure your supply's established.xxxx

yep went and bought a pump today so hopefully it'll still all go to plan lol..
