Im 19 weeks pregnant and im not sure if semen can cause labor this early? I know woman use this method later in pregnancy to induce labor, but what about at 19 weeks.

Im asking since me and OH DTD... he couldnt hold it and went in me... im a little nervous now that it my cause something to happen

sorry if its a stupid question

No def not, dont worry, it only helps bring on labour if your body is ready to. Its perfectly normal and fine to have sex.

Nope. Semen will help soften the cervix, and having orgasms encourages uterine contractions when you are close to term though. Orgasms can make your uterus contract a little before then, but it's nothing to worry about unless your doctor has said otherwise.

Ok awesome. I started freaking myself out about the sperm thing. Usually i make him go in a napkin or something because i always heard about it starting labor.

Me and OH have dtd since being pregnant and the only side effect is that the uterus contracts and makes me feel uncomfortable for a min or so and that's completely normal promise

Have you had any symptoms that you think you should worry about?????

No no symptoms, i just was worried i knew that sex was ok during pregnancy, but wasnt sure if it was ok for semen to go inside you while pregnant, until a safe time for labor.

nope its fine hun! Me and OH DTD at least once a week as i'm not upto it as much whilst being pregnant and he always ejaculates in me (tmi) and its perfectly safe to hav sex through pregnancy! Labour will not start dont worry x

no! sex and/or semen can not cause you to go into labour, there’s no actualy proof it can even do it latter in pregnancy and I read a report once that while testing over 100 women it turned out that 60% actually went it to labour latter after having sex to bring it on.

This is what makes me think that DTD to bring on labour is a myth because surely it would happen any time if that were the case.
I'd say that the body knows when its time and so dtd would just be coincidental really.
But I'm no expert obviously.

Agree with the tightening feeling after though, I get that too. Its weird but doesnt last very long or "hurt" to cause worry.
