Help request: how did you prevent stretch marks & sickness?

I used palmer's cocoa butter & didn't have any stretch marks. My skin is pron to stretch marks as I had some when I was over weight but I didn't have any during my pregnancy although I added loads of weight during my pregnancy

Can't help with MS as I didn't have any.

Congrats & good luck Hun xx

Sickness, I lived off of ready salted hula hoops for weeks and water.

Stretchies I think are down to genetics. I used Clarins Stretch Mark Control religiously and then the toning oil and didn't get 1. BUT my mum, Grandma and aunt never got any either and they all had big babies (twins in my aunts case), are size 18s..The thing I found was the itchyness was god awful and the cream really helped with that.

I think if you're goin to get em/it you're going to get em/it im afraid x

I agree!

I thought, I'd never get them! I've always looked after my skin and used Palmer's cocoa butter daily for like forever!

So when I fell pregnant, as soon as I found out I was using products religiously! I used Bio-Oil in the morning & in the bath, and Mama-Mio at night. And 3-4 nights a week got OH to massage pure Vitamin E oil in.

When I say religiously I never missed a day, massaged in loads for a good amount of time.

Well, now. I look like an A-Z of London.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Some are more prone to getting stretch marks than others, (me) but there are things you can do to minimise and fade stretch marks quick but divulging such might result in increase in sales and subsequent rise in price.:haha:

Thanks again ladies! Everyone's so helpful on here :)

MissG I have to say that made me laugh: 'I rubbed creams in religiously, didn't miss a day....and now I look like an A-Z of London!' Bless you, it's fab you have such a sense of humour about it. I guess it's just one of the little things that are there as a reminder of what journey your body has taken. I'm not overly obsessing about them (promise!) but I was going to buy a body moisturiser so thought I'd ask those in the know first.

Anyway, thanks again for your hints and tips, I've just been to the supermarket and stocked up on crackers, nectarines and cereals. I can manage to eat these and if they're there I hopefully won't get so hungry :)

well, on the morning sicknes nothing helped really only eating little bits of plane bland food little and often....on the strech marks i found the benefit of the morning sickness was that i couldnt eat crappy food so dint put a load of weight on, i put a stone on throughout my pregnancy and i normally eat like a pig, everyone i know was surprised how little weight i put on and i put it all on not pigging out and useing my pregnancy as an excuse to eat shitloads!

i tried moisturising every day to help the stretchmarks -it didnt help :( in regards to the morning sickness - i had it throughout my pregnancy, so i know what you're going through! i hate ginger, and i found eating a dry snack in the morning DIDNT help. no matter what everyone said lol.

i survived on buttered toast and watermelon. as Emme said! coke also made me feel better, but after i'd thrown up.

Watermelon was my saviour.
