Help, scared! Antiphospholipid Syndrome.

Been to see my consultant this afternoon. Nothing new was really discussed but he has scared the shit out of me. He said that with antiphospholipid syndrome most losses happen in 2nd trimester! I thought we were safer now I was in 2nd tri!

Does anyone have any other information or experience with antiphospholipid syndrome please?

I have it also and was diagnosed a few weeks before getting pregnant. I am on daily baby aspirin and lovenox injections to prevent clotting. My dr has told me the risk of still birth is higher and therefore I am having 2 visits a week now that I'm 30 weeks, one for ultrasound and an nst weekly. The drs have told me that I am being so closely monitored that if they see any indication of a problem the baby would be delivered immediately. Also I've been told that they will not let me go past 39 weeks as risk of still birth increases at that point. I was never told that losses occurred mostly in the 2nd trimester though. Sorry if I'm not much help this is so new to me still as I have a daughter but wasn't diagnosed at that time.

I have a son who is nearly 4 but looks like it's something I developed after having him.

The thought of a stillborn absolutely terrifies me.

I'm currently on 75mg Aspirin, 5mg Folic Acid, Clexane Injections and Omeprazole.

My consultant doesn't want to see me until 20 weeks now but I will see my midwife at regular intervals.

Yes I have APS I was diagnosed after having two recurrent mmc's I have to take 75mg aspirin and 60mg clexane injections daily I had to take the same with my last pregnancy and my 2 year old son is just fine. X
