Hubby and I are team yellow. We've had a girl name picked out since day one, but we are really struggling to decide on a boy name. To be honest, I don't really love any boy names. Here's our shortlist, what are your opinions?

Marshall
Fraser
Sam
Declan (I like it, hubby is on the fence)
Lincoln (hubby likes it, I am on the fence)

Thanks!

I really like Declan, it was our #1 boy name with my first pregnancy! We had a girl though and then my cousin named her son Declan, so it's not an option if this baby is a boy. I've been hearing it more often in the past few years so it's definitely gaining popularity. I also love Sam for a little boy!

I strongly dislike Declan on a baby/child but don't mind it for an adult for some reason. Unfortunately every adult needs to be a baby and a child first so it just doesn't work for me. :haha:

Sam is cute though I'd go with something more formal myself (I like Samson and Samwell) with Sam as a nickname.

Lincoln is my favourite from your list, I think it's super cute and I love the nn Link.

Fraser is my favourite from your list - it's cute but would definitely work as they get older.

My favorite on your list is Sam... followed by Declan. Lincoln would be my 3rd choice. Not a fan of Marshall or Fraser at all, sorry.

Sam Declan sounds cute together!

Lincoln 💕, it's on our shortlist x

I like Declan more than Lincoln but I like both. Could you guys compromise on whom gets to choose middle name and the other gets to choose a first name? Or else I would brain storm and look at completely different names.

That is what we did, and then I came up with a name and a combination we both never thought of and we both fell in love.

Sorry lol! Let me explain better I would look at baby name listsand look at names I at least liked and DH as well. Or were at the very least likeable.

I.e. james

And then I would make a row with
James Alexander
James Henry
James Michael
Etc.

And would let DH see everytime, and see how he felt about all the names first and middle. and That is how we both came to agree on a full name for our potential baby boy.

It does take patience and time though, and with my DH the more he hears a name the more it grows on him. Whereas I know instantly if I love it or not.
