My DH and I found out this week that we're team blue. :blue: We're very excited, but we're having the worst time coming up with boy names. Girl names were a breeze for us. We had them narrowed down to either Clara Jane or Eva Alessandra. Coming up with boy names, however, has been so difficult. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

We have a very common last name that begins with a G. Being that our last name is so common, we'd like to avoid some of the extremely popular first names. We're not, however, big fans of obscure or super trendy names.

We really like Alexander for a mn, but if we use that, we'll need to be careful with what the initials spell (i.e., avoid a fn that starts with the letters "f", "g," "h," or "n").

We like the name Joel Alexander, but we don't know if we're in love with it. DH also liked the name Wyatt until he met someone whose dog had that name...

Here are names that DH has vetoed:
Bradley
Miles
Thomas

I'd really appreciate your help!

I love Miles and Joel. I've met a few dogs called Wyatt too! Mind you, I've also met a lot of dogs called Lucy 😂.
I also love Alexander for a middle name. Miles Alexander and Joel Alexander both are lovely. The only thing I can see with Joel is with a G last name it's a similar sound but not enough to not have it. Loving your choices :)

Oh and Bradely is nice but Brad sounds a bit 90s to me!

Thank you. Some of those names are a bit popular/trendy where I am. While I like some of the popular names, I'd like to avoid pairing them with our common last name. My husband's fn is fairly common, and when he grew up, he went to school with two other boys with the same fn and ln as him.

Joel Alexander was on our list for DS1. Our surname also begins with G so we had to be careful with initials too. Some other names we had picked out were: Benjamin, Micah, Thomas, Mason, Sebastian. DS2 is due towards the end of next month and we're considering the names Thomas, Samuel and Henry.

:)

I love miles... milo is really nice too. What about ellis or jude?

Thank you all. I like a lot of your suggestions, and will be sure to share them with my husband. I'm also considering the name Asher, which my husband suggested over the weekend.
