Help with CM...

I'm currently on CD17, have an average 28 day cycle give or take a couple of days. I've been getting negative OPK's for the last few days but tbh I didn't start early enough so I thought I may have missed my surge but I've checking my CM too and a couple of days ago it was creamy, today after getting right in there (sorry TMI!) I got a glob of sort of jelly like CM from close to my cervix. The rest seems sort or creamy which in itself doesn't seem right if I had already ovulated. My OPK's are showing a very faint second line yesterday and today.

Do you think it sounds like I am close to ovulating and haven't missed my go this month?

I think if the line wasn't on the opk and is now starting to come in and you just got the glob of jelly like cm (is it like egg white?) then you are probably close to Oing. I know it may seem late in your cycle, but that's ok. Sometimes that happens. I've Oed as late as cd 21 before and it gave me a 35 day cycle and usually I'm in between 25-28 days with O 11-14. So I think you're ok. Because you started testing late, it's possible you may have missed the surge, but just keep testing and checking your cm. GL!
