Help with dates

I'm sort of confused about my dates, I had an early scan at 7+4 and was put back to 6+1, so since then I've been going by that scan and am now 8 weeks today, but going by my LMP I should be 10 weeks on Thursday. But this wasn't a dating scan or anything, it was just to check that everything was okay with baby. So when it comes to scheduling my 12 week scan should I just go by my LMP or the dates according to my first scan?

I would go by the scan date. If it was only a couple of days it wouldn't matter but if baby is too small they won't be able to check what they need to.
