Help writing a letter asking for work experience??

Hey there ladies, My career goal is to become cosmetologist. I am currently 17, finishing grade 12 online and 11 weeks pregnant. I think that getting some experience in a spa would be helpful in my career and will help me with college when I take it in 2013. The problem is I have no idea how to write the letter to give to the spa's in my area. Any advice would be great! I have no prior experience in this field and very much wanting to learn while I have the free time.
