My cousin convinced me to join the site so here I am!

I'm 9 weeks and 4 days pregnant, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years and not doing anything to prevent it for 2 years before that.

A couple of years ago we had a fertility specialist, went through all the tests, I even had surgery to see what the problem could be, they originally thought I had PCOS but the surgery showed that I was fine.
They couldn't find any issues actually as to why I wasn't getting pregnant.
I'm sure those of you who have been through it know the frustration we went through.

So, it's been years since we've been on fertility drugs, or seen a specialist, but I'm knocked up. I didn't believe it until I had seen the ultrasound and even then I was sure it was a cruel joke someone was playing.

We're not sure what exactly has changed, we figure the baby was just waiting for the right time to show up, we're in a town we love, we own our own business/home and life is absolutely wonderful. (Apart from being 6 hours from our immediate families)

So here I am!

Hi Hon! Welcome to BnB. My husband and I were TTC for ten years, did all the fertility treatments (IUI, Injections, etc) but in December of last year got told our last option was IVF which may not even work. At that point, we gave up TTC (since IVF was not in the budget) yet in March, I got my !

Maybe both our babies just knew when THEY wanted to come! Good luck with your pregnancy and I look forward to seeing you around the boards!

genkigemini, I'm hoping the next one realizes they want to come within 2 years after (I can hope right?). We're just proof that the babies will come when they damn well want to and not a moment sooner haha.
I'm happy it happened for you! I couldn't imagine 10 years of frustration, I thought 7 was bad.
