So today I had my baselines done bloodwork and ultrasound @ CD 4. Last cycle I had 5 follies on the right and 6 on the left and ovulated from the left side . This cycle I have 15 follies on the right and 10 on the left.....Is this a good number? I am NOT on Clomid or anything this cycle its been 2 months since I was on any stimulants trying to do this natural until the doc figures out whether we are going to do surgery or start back on fertility treatments and try IUI or IVF. I have a complex cyst on my left ovary and I don't find out exactly what we are doing until March 26th. I guess what I'm wondering is...are my follicle numbers normal compared to other women my age? I'm 27 almost 28. Anyways thanks for all replies I'm just new to all these numbers and after 2 years of TTC I am burnt out! Thanks in advance for all replies :) I appreciate it so very much!

Your antral follicle counts from both cycles are very normal and indicative of a currently good ovarian reserve, which would be expected from your age.

Good Luck

Like I said the earliest consult with the doctor was March 26th seems so far away...and my husband is going on a TDY for the airforce from end of April to mid May :( he'll be gone on my birthday to....I should get all my counts/numbers back on the 26th of March until then I suppose its another waiting game :( so tired of waiting....a little over 2 years seems like a lifetime I guess :( The docs I went to on base didn't refer me to a specialist until the 2 year mark :( should have been the year mark but no they have to be difficult and tell me that if you have 2 kids you can have more....when it took me 5 and a half years to get pregnant with my 2nd child :(\

Thanks so much for your reply makes me have a little weight lifted off my shoulders....hopefully more than one eggy will mature and I can have a little better chance of a sperm getting in there....his sperm count was normal but it was also over a year ago :( so he has another one week after Valentines!

I think the waiting, for appointments, for treatment, for explanations and so on is the hardest part of ttc.

I sometimes wish we had 7 day cycles or something so we could squeeze in more tries and O's in a shorter time maybe :)

Good luck with your appointment in March, it must be hard been at the hands of a Dr linked with your DH's job.

Well my hubby doesn't work in the medical part....so they don't know us. But military doctors think they know everything and won't help you with a specialist until you bug them for a few years it seems....I'm not the only one who was stuck in that situation. Just the waiting now for more appts after already waiting TWO years for help...its driving me bonkers...wish I could just do IUI this cycle without anything else just wanna DO something tired of waiting for answers :(
